Recommend it for the solo traveler
The staff was genuinely kind, especially the receptionist who assisted me with everything I needed. I also enjoyed the breakfast, too many options, can't go wrong with that.
It wasn't dirt cheap but acceptable for what I got.

Breakfast was a highlight with diverse options including Paved bhaji and Idli—definitely a delicious way to start the day! Plus, the staff were genuinely kind, making my stay even more enjoyable.
On a cheeky note, I was switched to a different room upon arrival. It felt a tad dodgy when I found my bag rummaged through after returning. The bed? Let's just say it had seen better days.

Location right in the heart of the city made it easy to explore the local souq. The balcony provided some nice outdoor space.
The decor is dated, carpets look worn, and both the elevators and beds show their age. There were also noise issues, with sounds from the A/C possibly due to pests, and the lack of proper ventilation left the curtains dusty and smelly. It’s a challenge navigating the parking situation as there’s no left turn available, leading to lugging heavy bags up stairs.

Charming ambiance with clean rooms and lots of dining options nearby. WiFi signals were weak, making it hard to connect.

The Oriental Palace Hotel has a prime location in the heart of Manama, making it easy to explore nearby attractions like the Manama Souq. The breakfast options were a pleasant surprise, offering both western and local dishes, including some very tasty Oats. The staff, particularly Mr Zahid, provided exceptional service during my stay. However, the hotel itself is showing its age. The carpets were worn and could use replacing, and the bathroom’s water drainage made it tricky to keep the floor dry. I had trouble with the WiFi as the signal was weak, and the lifts were slow and outdated. Finding the hotel was a challenge too. navigating the narrow streets took longer than expected. Despite its flaws, the hotel’s location and friendly team made for a memorable visit.

Had a great 2-night stay! Breakfast buffet was awesome with eggs to order and a good mix of local options. The hotel’s location right in the souk made walking to attractions super easy. The rooms were quiet and cozy, though a bit outdated. Totally worth it for the price!
